The Mile-High-Five-Club

The Dirty Disher is one of the web’s most popular gossip bloggers. Nominated for a Blogger’s Choice Award, more and more people are getting their daily dose of Hollywood from The Dirty Disher, be it about Blohan (Lindsay Lohan), Ol’ Poontang (Britney Spears) or the rest. This week, the ever-mysterious Disher joins our Mile-High-Five-Club.

1. Art: I adore art in any form, the stranger the better. I think it’s all about the way it makes people react, so, even bad art is good. I have some papers from some University that say I know about art, but, I still don’t know what I like. That’s one of them there avant garde, artsy fartsy jokes (feel free to roll your eyes). I’d like to be Yoko Ono and break up a band, but, no one in the band will sleep with me, so I just paint and wear weird hats. It works for me.

2. I’m passionate about caffeine and nicotine: I’m pretty sure they’re in the major food groups, if they aren’t, then some city slicker that writes nutrition articles for Yahoo in a java cafe on his friggin’ Mac is just lyin’. I also have a beef jerky addiction. I’m not proud of it and I’m thinking Circe Lodge or Promises might be my next stop, but, I’m waiting for Blohan or Britney to check back in, so I can score an exclusive while I sweat out the pain of lack of hot and spicy jerky.. in my vegan clogs.

3. I’m so passionate about hating music in movies unless it’s a musical or actually about music: Otherwise it’s a gigantic humongo pain in my ass. Dude, if you are riding a horse across a mountain, let me hear horse hooves and the wind, maybe and occasional cowboy fart..not Celine Dion. I want to kill music in movies. It’s a personal quest.

4. I’m passionate about bargains, yet I love designer crap: I want to tell the world I care nothing for material possessions, yet, I have a secret closet just for hand bags. But, I love being cheap–if someone actually notices a label I’m wearing, I can’t help but grin and slyly say “I got it at a yard sale for 5 bucks!” It’s orgasmic.

5. Mostly, I love blogging: Like the song says “you’ve got to wake up in the mornin’, with a smile on your face”……but, if you can’t do that, grab some coffee, a cigarette, and trash someone you don’t know. The hilarious lawsuit threats in your mailbox will keep you busy all day.

The Dirty Disher …celebrity gossip dished daily with no sympathy.

Paul Thorn Tupelo native Paul Thorn returns to town Thursday night with a show at the Lyric Theater. His new video,A Long Way From Tupelo, is currently playing on GAC and a limited edition of his album of the same name will be available at the show. For more information, go to 1. First, I have to say, Bluebell Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. I try keep it down to one heaping bowl full a week since it's full of saturated fats and I'm a 43 year old trying to keep up the image of a front man. BUT, sometimes I'm weak and I backslide. 2. My Six Million Dollar Man Pinball machine. I finally got it fixed and have been playing it a lot. My 4 year old is learning how to play it so we get to play it together. 3. Saturday mornings, I get up and watch Kay Bain. I've been a loyal WTVA viewer for many years but I get a little upset because they've cut Kay down to just being on once a week. I love Kay Bain. You know, my coffee just tastes better with Kay Bain. 4. I've recently thrown out my old socks. I went to Wal-mart and bought a 12-pack of brand new white socks. I got them all for about eight bucks so I've been really happy about that. 5. My 14 year old daughter, Kit has become a facination. I've always been all about my daughter but now she's coming out with this Aretha Franklin style, powerful voice and I've just been amazed. I love listening to her sing.
